The St. Mary's Track Teams opened their season on Friday, March 29 at the Cedar Catholic Track Invite. The Cardinal boys finished fourth and the girls finished fifth. In the boys results Adam Everitt finished seventh in the shot put throwing 41'-01.5". In the triple jump Isaac Everitt went 38'-01.5" to place sixth in the event and jumped 19'-09" for a fifth place finish in the long jump. Charles Barlow placed sixth in the discuss throwing 117'-01". On Friday, April 1 the Cards traveled to Plainview for the Plainview Invite. The Cardinal men placed eighth while the Cardinal women placed third. In the girls 100 M dash Annabelle Barlow placed eighth with a time of 14.00. In the girls 200 M dash Loretta Scofield finished seventh overall with a time of 29.87. In the 400 M dash Barlow finished fifth with a time of 1:09.01 and Kaylin Gaughenbaugh finished ninth with a time of 1:10.12. In the 800 M run Lorissa Reiman took third with a time of 2:46.39. Kaylin Gaughenbaugh followed with a sixth place finish with a time of 2:48.23 and Hannah Gleason finished in ninth place with a time of 2:53.89. In the 1600 M run Reiman took third with a time of 6:27.50. Emma Winkelbauer took 11th in the girls 300 M hurdles with a time of 1:01.55. In the 400 M relay the team of Barlow, Scofield, Alissa Brabec and Mya Hedstrom took fifth with a time of 56.17. The relay team of Brabec, Gaughenbaugh, Hedstrom and Reiman took second in the 4 x 400 M with a time of 4:36.59 and clenched the first place finish in the 4 x 800 with a time of 10:34.66. Winkelbauer took first in the pole vault clearing 8'. Annabelle Barlow and Emma Otte also recorded 6' jumps for third and fifth places respectively. Mya Hedstrom got fifth in the long jump with a jump of 14'-09.5". In the field events Alyssa Fehringer took first for the Cards in the shot put with a 35'-07" throw and fifth in the discuss with a throw of 95"-07". Joslyn Eby threw 31'-01" in the shot put for a sixth place finish. Charley Mlnarik recorded 30' for an eighth place shot put finish and 85'-10" for a ninth place discuss finish. In the boys competition Gabe Pribil took first in the 200M dash with a time of 24.16 and fourth in the 400 M dash with a time of 54.55. Will Schmitz finished eighth in the 400 M dash with a time of 58.28 and finished fourth in the 800M run with a time of 2:17.91. In the pole vault Tate Thompson took fourth with a vault of 10'-06". Isaac Everitt placed seventh in the long jump with an 18'-01.5" jump and fifth in the triple jump with a 37'-03.25" jump. Adam Evcritt took sixth in both the shot put and discuss with throws of 39'-06" and 115'-01". Charles Barlow rounded out the results with a seventh place finish in the discuss with a throw of 113'.
