The Junior High girls traveled to Spencer last Monday to play the Spartans. The girls lost in three, having opportunities in the third set to win, but just couldn't stay consistent. The first game played by the Stuart Junior High “A” team was a close one, but ultimately ended in a 2-1 loss, 19-25, 25-17, 22-25. Alyssa Karo led the Broncos with six kills and three ace serves; Kyra Tubbs four kills, 17 ace serves and five set assists; and Paityn Sheffield two kills, five ace serves and one set assist. The Junior High “B” team got up where the “A” team fell and crushed the competition in a 2-0 match, 25-14 and 15-4. Rylee Fuelberth led the Broncos with three ace serves;Jazmine Meehan two ace serves; Kelsey Dennis one ace serve; and Cheyenne Schultz one ace serve. The Lady Broncos traveled to Bartlett to take on Fullerton and CWC in a triangular last Tuesday. The girls started a little sluggish against a good Fullerton team, but came alive in the second and third. The girls in the third had times that they would give up too many points in a row that hurt the girls in the end. The final score was 2-1: 14-25, 25-23, 20-25. Leading the Broncos was Sydney Estill with 13 kills, 10 digs and eight set assists; Lacey Paxton nine kills, one ace serve and 19 digs; Reagan Stracke eight kills, one ace serve, nine digs and five set assists; Sarah Wallinger five kills, one ace serve, one block and one dig; Addison Steinhauser one kill and one set assist; and Addie Kettler nine digs and 17 set assists. In the CWC game the girls were able to take them in two sets with everyone participating and contributing. This game ended in a triumphant 2-0 for the Broncos, 25-9 and 25-14 Paxton led the Broncos this time with five kills, two ace serve and five digs; Estill four kills, four ace serves, one block, three digs and four assists; Stracke three kills, one ace serve, four digs and two assists; Steinhauser two kills and one block; Savannah Kramer two kills and one dig; Kettler one kill, one ace serve and four digs; Wallinger one kill, one ace serve and one dig; Cecelia Addison one kill and two digs; Chianna Tubbs one ace serve and three digs; Trenadi Dodds three digs; and Megan Karo two digs. Last Thursday the girls traveled to Valentine to take on the Badgers in both Varsity and JV. The Broncos didn't give up a set in either game, serving well and playing good defense. The final score for the first varsity game against Valentine was a clean 3-0: 25-15, 25-21 and 25-17. The Broncos were again led by Paxton with 11 kills, seven digs and one set assist; Estill eight kills, two ace serves, five digs and ten set assists; Wallinger five kills, one ace serve and three digs; Stracke three kills, eight ace serves, six digs and three set assists; Kettler two kills, one ace serve, 11 digs and 14 set assists; Steinhauser two kills; Tubbs two ace serves and five digs; and Dodds six digs. The second JV game with Valentine was an easy 2-0 for the Broncos, 25-9 and 25-13. Kettler led the Broncos this time with five kills, four ace serves and five set assists; Steinhauser three kills, one ace serve; Addison two kills and one ace serve; Stracke two kills and five set assists; Megan Karo one kill and one ace serve; and Kramer four ace serves.
