Bernadette E. Baggett

Bernadette E. Baggett, 93, of Kearney, formerly of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Cambrige Court in Kearney.

Funeral services will be at a later date in Stuart.

Horner Lieske McBridge & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services of Kearney are in charge of arrangements. 

Bernadette E. Kruger was born on April 4, 1918, in Stuart, to Henry and Lona (Kunz) Kruger. She attended St. Boniface and Stuart High School.

In 1955, Bernadette was married to Carol E. Baggett. The couple lived in Omaha. Bernadette was a bookkeeper for 50 years before retiring in 1988. In 2010 she moved to Kearney to be near relatives.

Survivors include a brother, Arby Kruger and his wife, Helen of Las Vegas, NV; nephews, Tom Kruger and wife Kim of Kearney and Dan Druger and his wife Ginni of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Nancy Krysl and her husband Dan of Atkinson and Delores Steffen and her husband Dave of Parker, CO; and many grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Jerome Kruger and Henry Kruger Jr.; and sisters,  Maxine Kruger and Leocretia Kruger.
