Ballot Initiatives Spark Questions

The 2024 Election is less than a week away and many voters are still wondering what many of the ballot initiatives are. The language used in creating the ballots can be confusing and the advertising promoting one side or the others don't help much.

After doing research we have  found a basic non partial explanation on the meanings of the voter language.

Initiative #434 - A vote against  would stop the initiative that makes Nebraska's current abortion ban permanent.

Initiative #435 - A vote to repeal would revoke the voucher that gives public dollars to private schools.

Initiative #436 - A vote for would ensure working Nebraskan's can use and earn paid sick leave without retaliation.

Initiative #437 - A vote for would allow healthcare providers to recommend medical cannabis to a patient, and also provide protection for  caregivers.

Initiative #438 - A vote for would establish the Nebraska Medical Cannabis Commission to regulate safe access for patients through private industry.

Initiative #439 - A vote for would end Nebraska's current abortion ban and put Nebraskans and their doctors in charge of personal and medical decisions.
