Ann Dvorak is the Chairperson of Bridgehead & lives outside of Newport, Nebraska with her husband, Matt, and her children Elise and Dane. After teaching agricultural education and serving as an FFA advisor for 14 years, Ann began working for the global non-profit World Wildlife Fund. She currently serves as a Specialist for the Sustainable Ranching Initiative where she works directly with ranchers and rancher-led organizations on grassland conservation in the Northern Great Plains. Ann contracts as a guide for the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship program at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In those positions she can serve as a mentor, guiding others on their Hero's Journey. Ann is the President of Bridgehead and brings experience from creating and participating in other non-profits over her career. She is enthusiastic about serving the Veteran community and developing programming that acknowledges the inner genius that each Veteran possesses. In her free time, Ann enjoys gardening, reading, camping, and hammocking. One of her favorite quotes comes from The Greatest Showman: “No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else,” and therein lies the importance of respecting that inner light that exists in each person.
