Amelia — Allen Ralph Adair, 66, of Amelia, died Monday, March 4, 2024 in O'Neill.

Visitation was held Monday, March 11, 2024 at Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson with a rosary.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Atkinson. Fr. Bernard Starman officiated. Music was provided by soloist Leanne Vrooman and organist Terri Vrooman.

Honorary urn bearers were Taegyn Brown, Leah Adair, Dakota Milner and Breckyn Frickel.

Burial was in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Atkinson.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Allen was born on Oct. 6, 1957 in Atkinson, to Ralph and Elsie (Peter) Adair. He attended grade school in Amelia and graduated from West Holt High School in 1975.  

Allen was known around the surrounding community for his mechanical and welding skill. He enjoyed spoiling his nephew and three nieces over the years, but his biggest joys were his 14 great -nephews and -nieces.

Allen is survived by his brother Richard (Colleen) Adair of Atkinson; nephew Terry (Laura) Adair of David City; three nieces Danielle (Jason) Brown of Gretna, Justina (Patrick) Earnest of Newton, IL, and Shelby (Alex) Frickel of Lincoln; and 14 great-nephews and -nieces Leah, Brenden, Evelyn, Theo and Sawyer Adair, Taegyn, Grayson, Hayes and Harrison Brown, Dakota Milner and Violet Earnest and Breckyn, Suttyn and Henley Frickel.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Elsie (Peter) Adair, one great-niece Lillian Adair and one great-nephew Hudson Milner.
