Alexis R. Laible

Emmet — Alexis Rose Laible, 12, of Emmet, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023 as the result of an ATV accident near her home in Emmet.

Visitation was held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Atkinson. Fr. Bernard Starman officiated.

Burial was in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Alexis was born on Sept. 9, 2010 in Sioux City, Iowa to Dustin and Lori (Nordby) Laible. She attended O'Neill Public Schools, where she enjoyed socializing with her friends and cheering on her siblings.

Alexis liked to talk – non-stop it seemed. She enjoyed singing karaoke, movie night with her family and she loved a good dance party. Alexis appreciated every minute of being in nature - enjoying camping, riding her bike and swimming in the pool.

Spending time with family was important to Alexis. She was the life of the party of the cousin crew. Alexis could oftentimes be found playing for hours with any and all animals she could get her hands on.

Alexis is survived by her parents, Dustin and Lori Laible; three siblings Kiley, Gus and Reid Laible, all of Emmet; grandparents Steve (Marti) Nordby of Coleridge, Tom (Bonnie) Steinhauser of Creighton and Ron (Joyce) Laible of Shelby; great-grandmother Punk Steinhauser of Stuart; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
