The Lady Eagles hosted their first match of the Volleyball season, facing off with South Sioux City, going 0-3 on the board. The Sioux City Cardinals were putting up a good fight, but the Eagles were just always one step ahead. They took the opening 25-21 and cruised along the rest of the match. The Cardinals scoring steadily declined while the Eagles kept an even pace the whole game, providing the girls a great opener to the season. Taylor Young led her team with nine kills, two ace serves, two blocks and seven digs; Blakely Sudbeck followed with seven kills and four digs; Mariah Kallhoff had six kills, two ace serves, 10 digs and one set assist; Bergyn Classen had six kills, one block and two digs; Hannah Hilker had four kills, two ace serves, 16 digs and 29 set assists; Autumn Jackson had four kills, one block and four digs; Serena Chavez had nine digs and one set assist & Hailey Fick and Madalynn Kellum had six digs.
