O'NEILL HIGH SCHOOLS WELDING AND FABRICATION CLASS is participating in a Ken Iverson project which is a steel sculpture-making contest among area schools. The steel was donated to the schools involved by Nucor and a picture of completed projects will be posted to the Nucor Nebraska Facebook page for the first round of voting March 3rd through March 9th. The top six sculpture will move on to the Norfolk Home & Garden show March 21-23 for final voting. The top four of this round will be displayed in a park in Norfolk for up to two years before it returns home. This project encourages the collaboration of the Art, History, Shop and Ag, and Administration Departments, as well as consulting from Breiner Welding and Smoke It Up Welding.
