Allen was born to Albert (Ralph) Tooker and Paula (Isabella) Walnofer on Dec. 9, 1951 in Valentine and was raised in Atkinson, O'Neill and later Casper, WY.

As a young man, he often visited the Stuart-Atkinson-O'Neill area to work on the farms and ranches of his uncles. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in mechanical engineering, and after graduation worked in the oil fields of Wyoming.

On July 28, 1978 he and LouAnn Bauer were married in Gillette, WY.  After a year in the oil fields of Gillette, they moved to Wheatland, WY and Allen began his career in building and maintaining coal fired power plants.  Here, their four children were born.

His job moved his family to several states in the Midwest. After 20 years they ended up in La Crescent, MN where Allen maintained two power plants on the Mississippi River.

After all the kids graduated from college, the decision was made to move to Nebraska and be closer to family. At that time he became a rancher, and he and LouAnn had a cow/calf/hay operation for 17 years prior to retirement.

Allen is survived by his wife of 46 years LouAnn; son Lucas Tooker of La Crosse, WI; three daughters Emily Tooker (Eric Walsh), Sarah Tooker (Chris Jenkins) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Rachel Tooker of Great Falls, MT; two sisters Sheryl (Rodney)Dye of Casper, WY, and Betty Jane Tooker of Olathe, KS; two uncles Jim Davis of Stuart and Earl Tooker of Wayne; one aunt Bernice Tooker of O'Neill; and many cousins.
