The O'Neill Eagle boys have had mixed results this basketball season, with last week being no exception. However, their record is still positive, so they are by no means doing badly this year.

The boys began the week taking down Ainsworth 58-31 last Thursday. The Eagles put forth a combined effort of offense and defense and never allowed the host to score high.

Turner Heiss crushed the night with 23 points, 15 rebounds and one steal; Porter Mathews had 12 points, 14 rebounds and one steal; Braxen Eichelberger six points, four rebounds and one steal; Trevor Alder five points and eight rebounds; Caleb Laursen four points, five rebounds and one steal; Bodie Latzel two points and two rebounds; Marcell Summers two points, one rebound and one steal; Brady Eichelberger three rebounds and one steal; Westen Kohl, Brock Latzel and Colten Shoemaker all three rebounds; Nate Brown two rebounds and one steal and Jackson Larsen one steal.

Just two days later, the boys traveled to Aurora to face the Huskies. This match didn't have the same outcome as the last, with the Eagles falling 64-28.

The Eagles started the game with a solid opener, taking an early 13-12 lead over the opponent. Quickly, the Huskies got into their zone and made short work of the Eagles.

Alder managed a solid 12 points and three rebounds; Heiss had seven points and one rebound; Kohl six points, one rebound and one steal; Brady Eichelberger three points, seven rebounds and one steal; Mathews four rebounds; Laursen two rebounds and one steal and Ryder Kelly and Larsen both one rebound each.
