Some great news from the Holt County Animal Shelter - they managed to meet their goal for their shoe collection drive! The final day for the drive was Friday, Jan. 10. The shoes will be shipped off to third-world countries for people in need of them. HCAS will in turn receive a $1,000 grant for meeting the goal! Valerie, event organizer, posted a thank you to everyone who contributed. "We met our shoe fundraiser goal! We could not have done it without the amazing community support! Thank you! We still are collecting for another one in the future! Will be asking for volunteers to help load the 100 bags. I will get the date posted as soon as I get one! Thanks again!"
