Eagles Break Even Against Crofton

Last Friday, Jan. 3, the Eagles traveled to Crofton to face off with the Warriors. 

The Lady Eagles were up first and, after a solid past few games, were probably feeling confident. Unfortunately, that feeling faded soon after the match kicked off.

The Eagles couldn't get off the ground, trailing behind 12 points by halftime. The Warriors made quick work of their opponent after that, scoring big over the Eagles. By the end, the scoreboard read 63-23 in the Warriors' favor.

Hannah Hilker led the team with 16 points and five rebounds; Serena Chavez had three points, one rebound and one steal; Bergyn Classen two points and three rebounds; Ashley Sidak and Mariah Kallhoff one point and one rebound each; Rylee Selby six rebounds and two steals; Mady Heiss three points and one steal; Taylor Young two rebounds and one steal; Tenzlie Sorensen two rebounds; Haily Fick one rebound and Olivia Young one steal.

Later in the day, the boys took over the court and evened out the score. After some tough games the past few weeks, the boys bounced back and served up the Warriors a 65-30 loss. The Eagles kept up the pressure the whole game, only allowing the Warriors a tie score in the opening.

Braxen Eichelberger topped the match with 13 points, three rebounds and two steals; Brady Eichelberger just behind with 12 points, three rebounds and four steals; Trevor Alder had eight points, three rebounds and two steals; Jackson Larsen seven points and three rebounds; Ryder Kelly five points and three rebounds; Porter Mathews four points and 10 rebounds; Caleb Laursen four points and two rebounds; Colten Shoemaker four points and one rebound; Westen Kohl three points, two rebounds and one steal; Nate Brown three points and one rebound; Bodie Latzel two points; Brock Latzel two rebounds and Marcell Summers one rebound.
