Eagles Tromp Schuyler 55-14

The O'Neill Eagles traveled to Schuyler last week and racked up a 55-14 win over the Warriors. The Eagles have easily attained a postseason game, which will start in three weeks on Friday, Nov. 1.

The Eagles' defense skunked the Warriors' offense, keeping them out of the endzone until the fourth quarter against a second-team defense. The Eagles racked up 42 unanswered points at the half, and the second-team offense put up seven in the third and six in the fourth. Schylur did manage to put up 14 in the fourth.

The Eagles ran 42 total plays, 15 first downs, and three penalties for 15 yards; the Warriors ran 49 plays, 12 first downs, and one penalty for 11 yards.

Turner Heiss had two touchdowns; Brady Eichelberger had nine carries for 135 yards for two touchdowns to lead the Eagles; Porter Mathews had five carries for 80 yards; Braxen Eichelberger had four carries for 21 yards; Colton Shoemaker had three carries for 14 yards; Pryor Mathews one carry for 10 yards; Grady Welke three carries for 10 yards; Nate Brown two carries for six yards; Ryder Kelly one carry for five yards; Rykler Sudbeck two carries for five yards.

Leading the receiver was Westen Kohl, who made three catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns; Matt Ross, who made two catches for 21 yards; and Colten Shoemaker, who made one catch for eight yards.

  Pryor Mathews led the defense with 12 tackles; Reese Grosch had eight tackles; Noah Manchester had six tackles; Porter Mathews, Welke and Ian Yates had five tackles each; Dranke Brandt, Daine Brandt, and Kohl each had three tackles; Heiss, Brady Eichelberger, T. Craig dail Anderson, Shoemaker and Ryan Owen each had two tackles; Braxen Eichelberger, Brown, Tate Diedeker, Charlie Morrow and James Greiner each had one tackle. 

The Eagles had 388 yards of offense and will face Columbus Scotus next week in Columbus.
