Lady Broncos 17-3 On Season

The Lady Broncos had a very busy but successful week playing Volleyball. The Broncos were on the road Tuesday in Bartlett to play in a triangular against Fullerton, which was an exciting three set match.

The girls then took on CWC, during this match we were able to get contribution from every player. 

The ladies traveled to Valentine on Thursday in another Tri. The first match the Broncos took on a young Valentine team and won in two sets. Next they took on a competitive team in Sandhills Thedford, which was another exciting match. Good defense and serve receive helped the girls take them down in two sets.

On Saturday the Broncos traveled to Ansley to play in a very competitive tournament. First off the Broncos faced Mullen, the girls came out and took them down quickly in the first, but lost a little focus in the second to make it close, but some great plays at the end helped get the win.

Next off the girls got matched up with a good NE Christian team, which was the most exciting match the girls played so far this year. In the first set the girls got down 16-24, with strong serving (10 serves later) gave the girls the first set. The plays the Broncos made during this rotation was tremendous and they never gave up. The second set the girls came out flat but they picked up their play in the final set with again aggressive serving and hitting to take down Christian.

In the final game the girls would meet up with Burwell. This match went back and forth in all three sets keeping the whole match close. Determination from the girls and some changes on defense helped them overcome this opponent in the end. Overall play by all the girls throughout the day was tremendous. Coaches were proud of the Lady Broncos effort and came away from this tournament with some nice wins.

Leading the Broncos against Fullerton was Reagan Stracke with an impressive 25 kills, one ace serve, 14 digs and nine set assists; Addie Ketteler 14 kills, five ace serves, 14 digs and 22 set assists; Addison Steinhauser two kills, two ace serves and eight digs; Cecilia Addison one kill, one ace serve and seven digs; Elly Steinhauser two ace serves, 17 digs and two set assists. Megan Karo one ace serve and seven digs; Kyra Tubbs two digs and three set assists; and Klaire Ramm two digs. 

Ketteler scored high against CWC with 13 kills, seven digs and six set assists A. Steinhauser had three kills, two ace serves, four digs and one set assist; Stracke two kills, two ace serves, one block, seven digs and nine set assists; Tubbs two kills, one dig and three set assists; Paityn Sheffield and Alyssa Karo both one kill; E. Steinhauser two ace serves, and eight digs; Addison two ace serves, two digs and one set assist; Karo four digs; and Rylee Fuelberth one dig.

Stracke lead against Valentine with 11 kills, one block, five digs and four set assists; A. Steinhauser five kills, one ace serve, four blocks and two digs; Ketteler three kills, four ace serves, seven digs and 11 set assists; Sheffield two kills and two digs; Karo one ace serve and five digs; Addison one ace serve and two digs; E. Steinhauser seven digs and one set assist; and Tubbs one dig and two set assists.

Stracke was again MVP against Sandhills Thedford with 14 kills, five digs and nine set assists; Ketteler eight kills, two ace serves, one block, seven digs and 12 set assists; A. Steinhauser four kills, one block and three digs; E. Steinhauser one ace serve, 10 digs and one set assist; Karo one ace serve and four digs; Addison one ace serve and one dig; Sheffield four digs; and Tubbs two set assists.

Stracke was still ahead of the game against Mullen with 14 kills, one ace serve, two blocks, nine digs and nine set assists; Ketteler had 10 kills, two ace serves, 10 digs and nine set assists; A. Steinhauser two kills, two ace serves, 10 digs and nine set assists; Sheffield one kill and one dig; E. Steinhauser 10 digs and three set assists; Karo three digs;  and Addison and Tubbs both one dig and two set assists.

Ketteler led the team against NE Christian with 13 kills, seven ace serves, one block, 21 digs and 12 set assists; Stracke had 11 kills, two blocks, 12 digs and 13 set assists; A. Steinhauser two kills, two ace serves,one block and five digs; Tubbs two kills, one dig and eight set assists; Sheffield one kill and one dig; E. Steinhauser one ace serve, 20 digs and one set assist; Karo nine digs; and Addison two digs.

In their final match against Burwell, the Broncos were led by Ketteler with 18 kills, two ace serves, 14 digs and 20 set assists; Stracke 5 kills, one block, 11 digs and 14 set assists; A. Steinhauser six kills, two ace serves, five blocks and 11 digs; Sheffield two kills and one dig; Tubbs one kill, one dig and two set assists; E. Steinhauser two ace serves and 25 digs; Addison three digs; and Karo two digs.

This great week from the Broncos shoots their record this year to 15-3.
