The CWC Renegades hosted the Twin Loup Wolves on Friday, Sept.20, falling to the Wolves 57-26. The Renegades trailed early on in the match by only two at the end of the first quarter, but after failing to respond to two Wolves scores, they trailed at the half 28-20. The Wolves poured on the pressure in the second half, outscoring the Renegades 29-6. The Renegades ran 31 plays for only four first downs and four penalties for 22 yards. The Wolves ran 68 plays for 20 first downs and had the penalties for 10 yards. Cooper Pokorny led the Renegades with seven carries for 97 yards and one touchdown; Michael Jesse had 11 carries for 44 yards; Carter Metschke had two carries for 11 yards; and Hayes Pokorny had two carries for six yards. Mason Knox led the Renegade receivers with three catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns; Cooper Pokorny had one catch for 66 yards and one touchdown; and Elijah Heinz had one catch for 13 yards. Parker Freouf and Jesse led the defense with 15 tackles; Daniel Kluver had 11 tackles; Jackson Wright and Knox had ten tackles each; Heinz, Metschke, and Pokorny had seven tackles each; Zane Potter and Zach Miner each had five tackles; and Garret Renner had one tackle. The Renegades had 349 all-purpose yards, with 158 yards rushing, 124 yards passing, and 67 yards on kick returns. The 2-2 Renegades will face 0-4 Anselmo - Merna at Chambers on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
