Last week the lady Cardinals competed against Chambers/Wheeler Central in a conference match and Burke in a home match. The first game, hosted Tuesday by Chambers/Wheeler Central, the Cardinals took home the win 3-1. Set one was close, with the Renegades taking the edge 25-21. The next two were an easy victory for the Cards, taking a massive 25-11 in both. Set four ended in a 25-13 win for the Cards, cementing their lead. Gracie Williamson had a great 17 kills, three blocks, 10 digs and two set assists; Pyper Ickes had 11 kills, three ace serves, two blocks, 11 digs and two set assists; Anna Otte nine kills, four ace serves, nine digs and one set assist; Annabelle Barlow seven kills, three ace serves, three blocks, 11 digs and nine set assists; Adyson Peterson four kills, four ace serves, 15 digs and 35 set assists; Samantha Asche four kills, one dig and one set assist; and Peyton Thompson seven digs and one set assist. Two days later, on Thursday, the Cardinals would host Burke and fall 3-1. The first two sets didn't go the way the Cards intended, falling 25-14 and 25-15. Set three picked up the slack, giving the Cards a 26-24 win. In the end, the Cougars would bring the game back to them with a 25-20 final set to claim victory. Leading the Cards this match was again Williamson with nine kills, three blocks and 11 digs; Barlow seven kills, two ace serves, 14 digs and seven set assists; Ickes four kills, one block, 19 digs and one set assist; Otte three kills, four blocks and 16 digs; Asche two kills, two blocks and one dig; Peterson one kill, two ace serves, 11 digs and 17 set assists; and Thompson four digs.
