West Holt Medical Services To Hold Ribbon Cutting

West Holt Medical Services will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 14 at the hospital at 1:30 p.m. Speakers for the event are Joshua Erickson Mayor of Atkinson as well as representatives of senators Deb Fisher, Pete  Ricketts and Congressman Adrian Smith.

The City of Atkinson on behalf of West Holt Medical Services received $362,600.00 in Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus Response funds with the assistance of Central Nebraska Economic Development District for the purchase of a mobile clinic. West Holt Medical Services (WHMS), located in Atkinson, Holt County, Nebraska,is a 15-bed, critical access hospital and rural health clinic in the north central part of the state. This ADA-compliant mobile health clinic will increase the capacity and availability of targeted health services for infectious disease response within the existing health facility and outside the core service area. The mobile clinic will feature one exam room with a small waiting room, lab area and wheelchair lift. Nebraska Department of Economic Development made CDBG-CV funding available to local units of government to provide funding directed towards building resiliency towards, recovering from, and responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
