Last week only had one competitor oppose the Eagle girls. On Tuesday, Feb. 13 Pierce faced O'Neill and finished the Eagles 44-33. The Eagles started the game promising, downing the Bluejays 9-8. The second quarter shot the Bluejays up four points into the lead, but the match was nowhere near over. Quarter three was a low-scoring skirmish, but especially from the Eagles– with them only putting up two points while the opposition scored five. Quarter four brought the game back to speed, but it also trailed the Eagles even further behind when they lost it 15-13 to end the match 44-35 in the Bluejays' favor. Hannah Hilker scored highest with 10 points, shooting two of eight three-pointers and two of two two-pointers.
