Area Schools Look To Join New Conference

Some area schools are looking to start a new activities conference and part with the NVC conference. 

NVC schools including  Summerland, Elkhorn Valley, Neligh-Oakdale, and West Holt will join Lewis and Clark Conference schools Hartington-Newcastle, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, Plainview, and Lutheran High Northeast to form a new activities conference in Northeast Nebraska. 

"Conference activities will begin in the 2025-2026 school year," 

The new bylaws and a conference name are still being worked out between the schools.

Per NVC bylaws, the schools will need to give a one-year notice that they will be exiting from the conference.

The next step for the new venture will include developing bylaws and determining a name.
