The Stuart Bronco boys basketball season came to a close on Tuesday, February 28. They traveled to Paxton to face off with the Tigers. They may not have won the match but they put up a good fight, and they proved how far they could go. Sandy Miller, head of JH Boys Basketball at Stuart High School, had this to say about the game and her team: “Playing in the District Final versus Paxton was a great experience and a testament to the hard work the boys put in during the season. We wish we would have played better early in the game as we dug a hole that we could not get out of. The boys made a gritty run in the second half, cutting the lead to two points but could not get over the hump. We finished the season the season 17-8. Those eight losses were by an of 6.78 points. The Bronco Basketball team would like to thank the great support from the school, student body and our community during the game and throughout the entire season. We wish two seniors, Schuyler Mustin and Anthony Heiser, the best of luck and a special thank you for the countless hours working on becoming better basketball players and representing our school. They will be missed!” Stuart vs Paxton SHS 11 9 16 11 47 PHS 19 15 11 11 56
