OHS Girls Final Game Of The 2022-2023 Season

Feb 22, 2023 (0)

After suffering from many defeats during their latest season, the OHS Eagle girls team has officially retired for the rest of the season. This year was not kind to the lady Eagles,  with their highest losing streak peaking at five games.

Their final match was against the Ainsworth Bulldogs last Tuesday. Kicking things off in the first quarter, the Eagles fell 19-11, and were forced into an early backseat. This would set the stage for how the rest of the match would turn out. The second quarter only further cemented the Eagles place in second when they fell behind by an additional nine points.

The final two quarters the Eagles managed to pick up the pace and were able to keep up with the Bulldogs. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they had already dug themselves into a hole that was too deep to recover from.

Presley Heiss leads in the Eagles final match with 10 points, shooting one of five two-pointers for 20 percent and one of four three-pointers for 25 percent, as well as one rebound; Bergyn Classen in second with seven points and seven rebounds; Olivia Young seven points and two rebounds; Emma Smith six points and two rebounds; Lauryn Dusatko five points and four rebounds; Autumn Hilker two points and two rebounds; Brena Gdanitz and Taylor Cuhel both two points each; and Elly Stearns and Serena Chavez both one rebound each.
