By Colin Schurman, Head Girls' Basketball Coach The first game of the new year, the Lady Broncos traveled to Neligh to take on the Lady Warriors. It was back and forth but the Lady Broncos finally got comfortable in the 4th quarter and outscored the Lady Warriors 16-8 to take the 51-45 victory. The Lady Broncos were led by Lacey Paxton. Paxton had 20 points on the night. Paxton also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Senior, Sarah Wallinger, was not far behind with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Wallinger was very efficient from the floor shooting 70%. Reagan Stracke was all over the floor defensively collecting 7 steals. Stracke also had 11 points. Sydney Estill had 7 rebounds and 7 assists along with her 2 points. The Lady Broncos have a busy week this week with games against Summerland, CWC and Elgin Public/Pope John. The Lady Broncos are 4-4 for the year.
