Edward J. Moeller

Edward J. Moeller, age 97, of Atkinson passed away July 2, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill.  

Visitation was held Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. at Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson, with a rosary at 7 p.m.  

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Luke Steffes officiating. 

Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Atkinson.

Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson was in charge of arrangements.

Edward Joseph Moeller was born on March 16, 1915, the son of John B. and Bertha M. (Relleke) Moeller.  He was baptized at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stuart on March 23, 1915.  He was raised on a farm near Stuart.  

Ed married Elzene Henderson on Sept. 23, 1940. They lived near Atkinson all their lives. The couple had six daughters.  

Ed was employed in various occupations throughout his life.  He ran a café, did trucking, built and owned the Dairy Mart Drive-In for ten years and was a plumber for forty-eight years.  

Ed is survived by his six children:  Sharon Welsh of Atkinson, Lynn Obermire of Omaha, Lee Callahan of Omaha, Connie Reinke and husband Dale of Neligh, Jeanette Leuthold of Norfolk and Shirley Cobb and husband, Jim of O'Neill; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers; two sisters; two great-grandchildren and five sons-in-law.
