Wilma Lee Ollendick, 79, of O'Neill died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 at Arbor Care Center in O'Neill.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Holt County Animal Shelter.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill is in charge of the arrangements.

Wilma was born on Feb. 14, 1943 in O'Neill to Frederick and Dorothy (Snowardt) Babutzke. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School until eighth grade. 

Wilma married James Ollendick in September of 1957. They later divorced in 1973.

Wilma was a bartender at the Elbow Room for many years as well as Galen's Bar. She enjoyed meeting new customers, young and old, and she especially liked the band nights as she loved to dance.

Wilma later worked as a caregiver for Region IV. She enjoyed the conversations, taking her clients for joy rides and also taking them to church on Sundays.

Wilma was a lover of all animals – especially cats. She took in many strays over the years and gave them love and a home. She also enjoyed garage/rummage sales. She never found a sale she didn't find a bargain.

Wilma leaves behind her three children,Sherri Paul of Hastings, Richard (Misty) Ollendick of Crofton, and Kim Binkerd of Hastings; four grandchildren Jessica (Geramiah) Kerr, Jamie Lobato, Jade (Bryant) Essink and Kenadi Utter all of Hastings; four great-grandchildren Amiaha Kerr, Ainslee Kerr, Atley Kerr and Laikynn Essink; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Dorothy Babutzke, one son James in July 2022 and one brother Fred (Cecilia) Babutzke.
