Wanda Rae Vikre

Wanda Rae Vikre, age 88, of Johnstown, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Stanton Health Center in Stanton.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the East Woodlawn Cemetery in Johnstown.

Arrangements are by Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk.

Wanda Rae (Mickie) was born on June 2, 1923, at Johnstown to Ray (Smokey) and Nitz Trout. She attended Johnstown High School.

On Sept. 4, 1976, she married Herb Vikre at Bassett.

Wanda worked as a bartender, fashion sales and buyer and a housewife. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Wanda is survived by her son, Terry Plamondon of Ruston, LA; daughter, Toni Ogle of Orchard; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Cleo Baxter and Agatha Groves.
