U.S. Senator Deb Fischer will be in O'Neill and will be hosting a community round table. The roundtable will be on Friday, Aug. 26 from 1 – 2 p.m. at Handlebend, 215 E. Douglas St. Such meetings allow Fischer to learn more about our community, including successes and challenges, and how she can best provide service in her role as a United States Senator for Nebraska. Your concerns or questions are welcomed to be shared with Senator Fischer and her staff in Washington, D.C., in order that she may come prepared with information relevant to the important work being done in our community. In Nov. 2012, Fischer was first elected to the U.S. Senate becoming the first Nebraska woman elected to a full term and the first Nebraska state senator elected directly after service in the state legislature. Six years later, in Nov. 2018, Nebraskans overwhelmingly voted to send her back to the U.S. Senate for a second term. Senator Fischer looks forward to seeing you on Aug. 26th in O'Neill.
