 Tyler D. Sanderson
Specialist Tyler Dale Sanderson, age 21, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Fort Benning, GA, due to injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral Services were held Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Douglas High School Gymnasium in Douglas, WY, with pastor Steve Vetter of the First Baptist Church officiating. Internment was in the Douglas Park Cemetery with full military honors accorded. The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements. Tyler was born to Dave and Christine Sanderson on Veteran’s Day, November 1990 in Goldsboro, NC. That, the family believes, destined him to love the Army. Tyler is survived by his parents, Christine and Dave Sanderson; brother, Blake Sanderson; a cousin who just came to live with the family, Braedon Madewell; maternal grandparents, Judy and Ross Kent of Douglas, WY; paternal grandmother, Arliss Sanderson of Chambers; fiancé, Tamera Moorhead of Ogallala; aunts and uncles, Beckie and Eric Oliver of Douglas, WY; Jeanne and Dustin Breiner of O’Neill; Bill Logemann of Douglas, WY; Kathy and Shane Ross of Valentine; Bud and Linda Sanderson of O’Neill; Tony and Susan Sanderson of Chambers and Lenny Sanderson of Colorado; and godparents, Bev and Steve Garls of Douglas, WY. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gene Sanderson, on April 27, 2012; uncle, Daleray Madewell, on Feb. 9, 2012; "godbrother," Chad Garls, on June 6, 2000; great-grandparents, Lyle and Mary Wright, Lucy Johnson and Pete Smith. A memorial to the Tyler Dale Sanderson Memorial Fund in care of the Converse County Bank, P.O. Box 689, Douglas, WY, 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
