Wrestling district play is now underway, and last week it was the St. Mary's boys turn to prove themselves. Of the seven students who attended the competition at Shelby last Friday through Saturday, two placed. Overall the team placed 10th with 48.5 points. Placing for the team was Keigan Couch at 132 lbs. placing third and Dalton Herley at 215 lbs. placing second. The other athletes who competed for the Cardinals were Zane Cole at 157 lbs., Cooper Cole and. Kolton Lavicky at 165 lbs., Logan Pongratz at 175 lbs. and Robert Shoemaker at 215 lbs. The boys will travel to Omaha this Thursday, Feb. 19 through Saturday, Feb. 21 for state level play.
