Theodore "Ted" P. Lindberg, age 77, of Plymouth, MN, and formerly of Golden Valley, MN and O'Neill, passed away on May 7, 2011.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 13, 2011, from 4:30-7p.m. with a 7 p.m. Masonic service followed by a memorial service at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel in Crystal, MN.
A celebration of life service was held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at the Golden Valley Country Club. Musicians were asked to bring their instruments.
Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal, MN, 55429, was in charge of the arrangements.
Ted graduated from O'Neill High School in 1951. His attendance at Wayne State University was interrupted to serve in the army. He completed his degree at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1957. Ted moved to Minneapolis to work for Prudential Insurance Company. He retired after 37 years of service.
He was a member of the Robbinsdale Masonic Compass Lodge #265, Scottish Rite and Zuhrah Shrine. He was an avid cornet player with the Jolly Nobles and the Zuhrah Shrine Band. He enjoyed golfing and always walked the course with great friends and a good sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria (Pollat) Lindberg; two daughters, Elise Lindberg and Kristine Erickson and her husband Scott; grandchildren, Amber Skogstad, Parker Erickson and Peyton
Erickson; sisters, Marilyn Wilmoth of Arizona and Carolyn Ehlers and her husband Tom of Wyoming; and many other relatives and good friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred Lindberg; and one brother, Ralph.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to RiteCare Clinic of Elk River, MN, Zuhrah Shrine Band, Minneapolis Shriners Hospital or donors choice.
