Environment & Energy

PUBLIC NOTICE is given in accordance with Title 132 - Integrated Solid Waste Management Regulations, Chapter 2, §011, that the Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy (NDEE) has received an application to renew the permit of City of O'Neill Construction & Demolition Waste Area, 401 East Fremont Street, O'Neill NE 63051. After review of the permit application, a preliminary determination has been made to recommend renewal of the permit. The term of the permit shall be five years.

FACILITY DESCRIPTION. The permit allows the operation of an existing Construction & Demolition Waste Area under Nebraska's solid waste management laws and regulations. The construction and demolition waste disposal area shall accept waste which results from land clearing, the demolition of buildings, roads, or other structures, including, but not limited to, fill materials, wood, land clearing debris other than yard waste, wall covering, drywall, plaster, non-asbestos insulation, roofing shingles and other roof coverings, plumbing fixtures, glass, plastic, carpeting, electrical wiring, pipe, and metals. The length of the permit will be five years from the issuance date.

FACILITY LOCATION. The property is located at Old Highway 108 East in O'Neill, Nebraska. The legal description of City of O'Neill Construction & Demolition Waste Area is SE ¼ of the NE ¼ of Section 29, Township 29 North, Range 11 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Holt County, Nebraska.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT AND HEARING. The public may submit written comments and may also request a public hearing on the permitting decision. A request for a hearing must be made in writing and state the issues proposed for discussion and their relation to the proposed permit renewal. Public comments and hearing requests shall be made to: Daniel LeMaistre, Waste Permit Section Supervisor, Nebraska Department of Environment & Energy, P.O. Box 98922, Lincoln, NE  68509-8922.

The NDEE will make a final decision to renew or deny the permit based on the permit application, the compliance status of City of O'Neill Construction & Demolition Waste Area, and public comment received. NDEE will notify the applicant and other interested persons.

NOTICE OF SHERIFF'S SALE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by virtue of an Order of Sale, issued by the District Court of Holt County, Nebraska, upon the Decree of Foreclosure issued in said Court in Case No. CI19-40 wherein the County of Holt, Nebraska, is Plaintiff and Chester Taylor, et al., are Defendants, in which Plaintiff recovered a Decree of Foreclosure upon Tax Sale Certificate No. 4432, taxes in the amount of $398.26, together with subsequent taxes and accruing interest at fourteen percent (14%) per annum, and costs in the amount of $225.09 which is a first lien upon the following described real estate:

That Part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 26 North, Range 9, West of the 6th P.M., Holt County, Nebraska, lying between a line parallel with and distant 50 feet Southwesterly, measured at right angles, from the centerline of the main track of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company, as said main tract is now located, and a line parallel with and distant 100 feet Southwesterly measured at right angles, from the center line of the main track of the Fremont Elkhorn and Missouri Valley Railroad Company, now the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company, as said main track center line was originally located and established across said Section 13;

I have levied upon the above described tract and will sell the same on the 8th day of June, 2022, commencing at 10:00 o'clock a.m., on the first floor of the Holt County Courthouse in O'Neill, Holt County, Nebraska, to the highest bidder, to satisfy said Decree, interest and costs, said sale to remain open one (1) hour.

NOTICE OF SHERIFF'S SALE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by virtue of an Order of Sale, issued by the District Court of Holt County, Nebraska, upon the Decree in said Court in Case No. CI17-35 wherein the County of Holt, Nebraska, is Plaintiff and Independent Roofing, Co. et al., are Defendants, in which Plaintiff recovered a Decree of Foreclosure upon Tax Sale Certificate No. 4438, taxes and interest in the amount of $1,324.41, together with subsequent taxes and costs in the amount of $257.90, which is a first lien upon the following described real estate:

Lot 5, in Block 5, of Eastwood Heights Addition to the City of O'Neill, Holt County, Nebraska;

I have levied upon the above described tract and will sell the same on the 8th day of June, 2022,  commencing at 10:00 o'clock a.m., on the first floor of the Holt County Courthouse in O'Neill, Holt County, Nebraska, to the highest bidder, to satisfy said Decree, interest and costs, said sale to remain open one (1) hour.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of O'Neill is taking sealed bids to have someone hay approximately 5 acres south of the Community Center and 8 acres south of Carney Park. Also, 4 acres south and 4 acres west of the Waste Treatment Plant, property north of Valley Hope and east of Soccer Fields and the property east of Legion Baseball Field. The City of O'Neill will be accepting bids at the City Hall at 401 East Fremont St. until 6:30 p.m. on June 6, 2022 at which time all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. The City is requiring that the bids be submitted separated out by property for all sites and be done on a cash basis and before the haying commences.

No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without consent of the City of O'Neill, for a period of thirty days. The City of O'Neill shall reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
