Paul Hubel
Paul Hubel, age 90, of rural Ewing, passed away June 26, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Neligh.
Visitation was held Friday, June 29, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a 7:45 p.m. prayer service.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Memorial Baptist Church in Chambers.
Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery.
Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.
Paul was born on Dec. 28, 1921, at Bliss, to Frank and Antonia (Tagel) Hubel. He met Vera Marlow, and they were united in marriage on May 25, 1947, in Norfolk. Paul was a farmer and a rancher all his life in the rural Ewing area.
He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in Chambers he served on the Goose Lake School board, District 73 and also on the Lake Township board as well.
He is survived by his wife, Vera; two sons, Ron Hubel of Omaha and Jim Hubel and wife, Barb of rural Ewing; three daughters, Donna Chapman and husband, Ken of Norfolk; Patricia Anson and husband, Norris of Ewing and Sandy Johnson and husband, Michael of Hastings; one sister, Stephanie Burtwistle of rural Ewing; one sister-in-law, Violet Hubel of Hastings; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
