Patsy Coventry

Patsy Coventry, age 63, of Inman entered into rest on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in O'Neill. The Rev. Francis Nigli officiated. Music was provided by pianist, Susan Kramer and vocalists, Doug Wright and Joan (Cunningham) Douglas.

Pallbearers were Joe Coventry, Brad Juracek, Greg Juracek, Danny Gillogly, Doug Jensen, Josh Pierson and Kent Harte.

Honorary pallbearers were Diane Kraft, Jacque Pelley, Karen Wiseman, Julie Engelbart, Donna McGinn, Margaret Sutton, Jack McGinn, Joe Harte, Tom Harte, Jim Gokie, Dennis Sutton and Bud Edwards.

Burial was in the Inman Cemetery in Inman.

Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.

Patsy was born on Feb. 27, 1949, in O'Neill to Glenn and Opal (Butterfield) Gillogly. She graduated from St. Mary's High School.

On Oct. 29, 1966, she married Bob Coventry and to this union four children were born, Jim, Kari, Coni and Candi.

She spent her younger years raising her children and helping Bob on the ranch. After her children were grown, she began working at the Inman Post Office and later transferred to the O'Neill Post Office where she worked as a clerk and carrier.

Following an accident in 2006 that left Patsy paralyzed, she learned ways to deal with the barriers of her disability and became an inspiration to all those around her. Patsy loved to read, garden, sing, dance, play cards, fish, camp, go shopping and spend time with her family and friends.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and St. Patrick's Altar Society.

Patsy is survived by one son, Jim Coventry and wife, Christi of O'Neill; three daughters: Kari Pierson and husband, Joe of St. Paul; Coni Meyer and husband, Ritchie of Page and Candi Schindler and husband, Jason of O'Neill; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Marceline McLean of Electric City, WA and Garnett Juracek and husband, Clifford of Norfolk; three sisters-in-law, LaVonne Coventry of Casper, WY, Judy Coventry of Omaha and Edith Kortus of Omaha; and one brother, Lyle Gillogly and wife, Frances of Salinas, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers:Jimmy, Gene, Tommy and Bobby and a niece, Peggy Juracek.
