Orland Harry Fryrear, age 90, of Atkinson, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Parkside Manor in Stuart.
Visitation was held from 3-8 p.m. with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at the Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday (today), Dec. 1, 2011, at the Seger Funeral Home with Father Luke Steffes officiating. Music is provided by Bonnie Krysl, singer, and Terri Vrooman, organist.
Pallbearers are Brian Wolcott, Jerry Prewitt, Roger Lichty, Dean LeMunyan, Lyle Lemmer and Cliff Pacha.
Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Atkinson.
Seger Funeral Home in Atkinson is in charge of arrangements.
Orland was born on May, 2, 1921, in Amelia, to William Harry and Ella Josie (Fix) Fryrear. He completed his education through eighth grade and his occupation was a rancher.
He was married to Lorraine Sicheneder Zahradnicek on March 8, 1974, in Burke, SD.
Orland is survived by his wife, Lorraine Fryrear, one sister, Naomi Gruenberg, step-children, Melvin Zahradnicek and Caroline Luther, all of Atkinson and Linda Blackwell of Lexington, NC; nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
