The O'Neill Eagles have come to the end of their Wrestling season with just the state tourney to finish off. The Eagles will send Molly Corkle at 115 lb., Reid Laible at 113 lb., Pryor Mathews at 165 lb., Grady Welke at 175 lb., and Brody Jakubowski at 285 lb. In competition from the district competition O'Neill's Luis Chavez at 106 lb. was defeated in fall by Ryan Hoehne of Battle Creek and Bowen Ridder of Broken Bow to eliminate him from the running. At 113 lb. Reid Laible won over Owen Laska (Boone Central) in a fall. In Semi finals Francisco Juan Lucas (Madison) won over Reid Laible with a technical fall. In the consolation semis Reid Laible won over Caden Caudill (Syracuse)in a Fall. In the third place match Kelstyn Lindner (Broken Bow)won over Reid Laible in technical fall. The fourth place position advanced Laible to the state tournament. At 120 lb. Tyan Thompson (Battle Creek) over Ethan Sukup in a fall. Bailey Thimmes (Falls City)won over Ethan Sukup by Fall eliminating him from action. At 126 lb. Ryan Stusse Jr. (Battle Creek) over Oscar Schluns by fall in Cons. Round 1 - Oscar Schluns received a bye. In Cons. Round 2 - Austin Sykes (Malcolm)won over Oscar Schluns (O'Neill) by fall, eliminating him.
