O'Neill's Tyler Diediker goes for a jump shot against Hartington C.C. last Friday, Dec. 9 at home.

The O'Neill boys hosted the Cedar Catholic Trojans last Friday. The Trojans overpowered the Eagles, winning in a landslide victory 81-52.

Quarter one was a tense fight, with both teams immediately bringing their A game. It was extremely close, but the Eagles were just barely able to take the lead. The second and third quarter, things started to look bad for the Eagles. They were now trailing by close to 20 points going into the final stretch of the game.

This match was not unwinnable, but unfortunately for the Eagles, they simply weren't prepared for the Trojans tough defense and lighting fast offense. The Trojans took the game by almost 30 points.

Drew Morrow leads the Eagles with 14 points, shooting two of eight three and two pointers for 25 percent each, as well as three rebounds; Tyler Diediker and Ryder Pokorny 10 points and two rebounds each; Colton Osborne six points and three rebounds; Kyler Dean and Landon Classen five points each; Easton Kopecky two points and one rebound; and Grant Dusatko three rebounds.
