NEW AMBULANCE - O'Neill Fire and Rescue will take delivery of a new ambulance next week. The ambulance sets on a 2024 Ford F-350 Chassis and the box was manufactured by Arrow Manufacturing of Rock Rapids, IA. The ambulance price was around $255,000. The Department received $75,000 funding from a state grant and the rest was made up of revenue from the ambulance service. The service is operated by the City of O'Neill and the O'Neill Rural Fire Board. O'Neill High School is one of two recipients of the 2024-25 NebraskARTS Award. O'Neill Public Schools, along with Osmond Community Schools, were selected by a committee of arts educators from across the state. The award is sponsored by Nebraskans for the Arts. This award recognizes schools and/or school districts that make a notable and worthwhile contribution to the arts and arts education in the state of Nebraska. Recent NebraskARTS Award recipients include Bridgeport, Kenesaw, Sheridan Elementary in Lincoln, Schuyler Community Schools, Seward Public Schools, Kearney High School, Ravenna Public Schools, Hyannis Area Schools, Lincoln High School, Westside High School and York Public Schools.
