Norma F. Hansen, age 78, of Spencer, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at the Butte Health Care Center in Butte.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Spencer.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Hall in Bristow with Rev. Blair Kirkpatrick officiating. Music was provided by Carie and Dennis Miller.
Pallbearers were Robert Hansen, Jr., Darold Reynolds, Jr., Jeremy Hansen, Daniel Hansen, Brad Hansen, Brent Hansen and Dustin Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Union Cemetery in Spencer.
Brockhaus Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
Norma Fay Hansen, daughter of Robert Lee Sharp and Nora Francis Conn, was born on May 17, 1934, at Spencer. She attended Spencer Public School.
On Aug. 30, 1952, she was married to William G. "Willie" Hansen at O'Neill. The couple was blessed with four children, William Daniel, Robert G., Sharon Rae and John Ray. Norma and Willie lived in rural Holt County from 1952 to 1969, and rural Bristow from 1969 to 2012.
She was a housewife, bar owner and Avon distributor. She was a member of the Methodist Church and of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Norma is survived by her husband, William of Spencer; children: William and wife, Debra of Virginia Beach, VA; Robert of Bristow; Sharon Reynolds and husband, Dean of Wahoo; John and wife, Area of Wynot; daughter-in-law, Laura of O'Neill; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Sharp of Helena, MT; two special friends, Bonnie Loock of Bristow and Jan Malcom of Spencer; as well as nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters,ß∑ Doris Mlady, Alma June Ross and Theresa Hansen; four half-brothers and two half-sisters, Stella Ertz and Fern Taylor.
