Melvin Luben

Melvin Edward Luben, age 70, of Pleasant Dale, passed away, on Monday, March 5, 2012.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home in Lincoln. Rev. Michael Benischek officiated, followed by military funeral honors.

Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home in Lincoln was in charge of arrangements.

Melvin was born in O'Neill on July 20, 1941, to Melvin and June M. (Fox) Luben. He was raised in the Emmet area and served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962.

Melvin was united in marriage to Roxanne M. Riley, on March 15, 1975, in Lincoln.

He worked for L.E.S. for 37 years as a field supervisor and retired in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife, Roxie of Pleasant Dale; four sons: Lonnie White of Seward; Chad and wife, Danette White of Lincoln;  Edward Luben of Papillion; Russell Luben of Seattle, WA; three daughters: Kristen and husband, Troy Hess of Lincoln; Cindy Luben of Plattsmouth; Natalie Luben of Lincoln; one brother, Jim and wife, Pat Newton of Kentucky; two sisters: Janet Newton of Schuyler; Judy and husband, Ken Fleming of Wichita, KS; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many friends.
