Mary Bly
Mary Bly, age 84, of Neligh, formerly of O'Neill, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the Gretna Care Center in Gretna.
Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 1, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in O'Neill with Rev. Craig Collins officiating. Music was provided by pianist, Deb Frederick and soloist, Loretta Nykodym.
Pallbearers were Aaron Bly, Dana Bly, Matt Nykodym, Cris Kurpgeweit, Dave Butts and Jim Hoerle.
Burial was in the O'Neill Cemetery in O'Neill.
Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill was in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born on Nov. 29, 1928, in Plainview, to Walter and Adaline (Homolka) Butts. She graduated from Chambers High School.
She and Dwayne Bly were married June 5, 1949, in O'Neill. He passed away on Aug. 18, 2003. Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by two sons, Gale Bly and wife Pam of Omaha and Dean Bly and wife Deanna of Neligh; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mardell Hoerle of Chambers and Ethel Jones of Lexington and one brother, Jim Butts and wife Mary Lou of O'Neill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Orin.
