Lyle Wright

Lyle Wright, age 97, of Chambers passed away Wednesday evening Aug. 10, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill.

Visitation was held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug 12, 2011, at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill with a 8 p.m. prayer service.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug 13, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Chambers with Rev. Lila Picton officiating.

Music was provided by pianist, Patty Durre with Jean Hoffman as sololist.

Pallbearers were Blake Sanderson, Dave Sanderson, Bill Logemann, Tyler Morgan, Shane Ross and Dustin Breiner. Honorary pallbearers were Lyle's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery.

Lyle was born on Oct. 21, 1913, at Plainview to Charles and Lulu (Shoemaker) Wright.

He married Mary Fleek on Dec. 14, 1937, in O'Neill. Mary passed away Nov. 8, 2008. He ranched and farmed in the Chambers area along with driving a truck until the age of 80 with his wife, Mary, by his side. Lyle loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Arliss Sanderson and her husband, Gene, of Chambers, seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother and sister.
