Linda K. Kelly

Grand Island — Linda Kay Kelly, 72, of Grand Island, formerly of O'Neill and Blanc, CO, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2024 at Azria Health Broadwell in Grand Island.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation was chosen.

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island was in charge of the arrangements.

Linda was born July 8, 1951 in Hot Springs, SD to Owen and Fern (Dunsmore) Parkinson. Linda was raised in O'Neill and graduated from O'Neill High School in 1969. 

Linda spent many years in Colorado before moving to Grand Island in 2009 where she worked at CHI Health St. Francis Environmental Services. Linda retired in 2019. Linda was a friendly face around the halls of St. Francis for almost 10 years and people loved and appreciated her dedication to her work and the patients.

  Linda is survived by her parents Owen and Fern Parkinson of Grand Island; two siblings Leonard (Cheryl) Parkinson of Council Bluffs, Iowa and LaDonna (Chuck) Ortega of Grand Island; three children David Sidak of Emmet, Wendy (Guido) Del Re of Austin, Texas and Aaron Kelly of Young, AZ; seven grandchildren Douglas Sidak, Morgan Sidak, Destiny Sidak, Diezel Sidak, Makayla Rinestine, Morgan Rinestine and Cheyenne Peterson; four great-grandchildren Milo Sidak, Ophelia Sidak, Anabelle James and Jaden James; and her two beloved nieces Kristi Gideon and Leslie Belzer. 

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lacy Rinestine.
