Lady Eagles Shut Pierce Down In Three Innings

O'Neill's Emma Wrede tags a Pierce player in action on Thursday, Sept. 1.

The O'Neill Lady Eagles played twice last week, facing NEN on Tuesday, falling 10-0, and then playing Pierce and winning 31-1 with the game being called on the run rule. Scoring for the Eagles were Ava Chohon, Brooklyn Cahoy, Emma Wrede and Ryanne Pistulka. The Eagles drove in three in the first inning, four in the second and six in the third to end the game.

In the game against NEN, the Eagles fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to NEN. NEN scored on a single by Lillie Timm, a single by Paige Schuster, a single by Camryn Miller, and a walk by Emma Krusemark in the first inning.

The O'Neill Eagles Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of NEN, giving up 10 runs.

NEN fired up the offense in the first inning. Timm singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

A single by Emma Smith in the fourth inning was a positive for O'Neill.

Krusemark led the NEN to victory in the circle. Krusemark went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero.

Smith went three innings, allowing 10 runs on seven hits and striking out two.

Smith went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits.

Schuster led NEN with two hits in two at-bats. NEN didn't commit a single error in the field. Timm had the most chances in the field with three.
