After a minor setback a few matches ago, the O'Neill Eagle girls bounced right back last week. They competed against three schools and dominated the whole way through.

To get the week started, the Eagles hosted a fierce 4-0 Pierce team.

From the get-go, the Eagles were on a roll. They pushed down the Bluejays 10-4 to kick their week off. The opponent started to adapt to the Eagles' play, but they still lagged behind. Quarters two and three were back-to-back 13-12 victories secured by the home team. While the Bluejays put in the effort, they couldn't compete with the Eagles' performance this season.

Hannah Hilker took charge with 17 points, three rebounds and two steals; Bergyn Classen had 11 points, six rebounds and two steals; Taylor Young had 10 points, seven rebounds and one steal; Mariah Kallhoff had seven points, six rebounds and one steal; Mady Heiss had seven points; Rylee Selby had one point, four rebounds and one steal; and Serena Chavez had one rebound.

After a well-deserved rest, the girls traveled to Clearwater to face Summerland High School.

The Eagles walked all over the Bobcats, pushing them down 36-25 in the first half. The girls continued to lay down the pressure, bringing the Bobcats crashing down. By the end, it was clear the opponent stood no chance against the Eagles.

Hilker was a game-changer with 27 points, three rebounds and four steals; Kallhoff had 10 points, eight rebounds and two steals; Young had 10 points, seven rebounds and one steal; Chavez had seven points, one rebound and one steal; Classen had five points, three rebounds and two steals; Mia Lindsay had four points, three rebounds and two steals; Heiss had three points, two rebounds and three steals; Hailey Fick had one point, one rebound and one steal; Bristol Scott had two rebounds; Blakely Sudbeck had one rebound and one steal; Gracie Treptow had one rebound; and Selby had one steal.

Another two days of rest and the Eagles were right back on their feet, visiting a strong 4-1 Wayne team.

This game was much like the rest, with the Eagles laying on the pressure right from the get-go. In the opening half, the Eagles already pulled ahead 26-15, leaving the Blue Devils in the dirt. The girls continued to trample the visitors until the buzzer rang out and declared the Eagles the easy victor of the night.

Hilker again led with 16 points, two rebounds and four steals; Young had 11 points, five rebounds and two steals; Classen had nine points, three rebounds and one steal; Kallhoff had seven points and seven rebounds; Heiss had seven points, five rebounds and three steals; and Selby had five points, four rebounds and one steal.

The girls move into downtime until Friday, Jan. 1, when they visit a tough 7-1 Crofton team. In the meantime, the Eagles leave their record at 6-1 on the season.
