After a recent slump, the lady Eagles struck back last week with their usual energy. They faced Plainview and Ord and brought home the goods.

In their first match against Plainview, the girls pulled off a rare 13-0 to keep their opponent at bay. The Pirates broke through in the second, but they still stayed in the background. The Eagles missed in the third, but a 20-10 finale gave them the easy victory for the night.

Hannah Hilker took top honors with 16 points, shooting two of 11 three-pointers for 18% and five of six two-pointers for 83%, as well as one rebound and five steals; Mariah Kallhoff had 12 points and 12 rebounds; Taylor Young had 12 points, nine rebounds and one steal; Bergyn Classen had 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals; Blakely Sudbeck had four points and one rebound; Mady Heiss had two points, four rebounds and one steal; Mia Lindsay had two points, three rebounds and one steal; Rylee Selby had two points and two rebounds; Reagan Lindsay had two points and one rebound; Bristol Scott, Tenzlie Sorensen, Gracie Treptow and Serena Chavez all had one rebound and one steal each; and Hailey Fick had one rebound.

A few days passed and the girls were right back on their feet when they hosted Ord Friday.

The Eagles did what they do best-dominate from the beginning and force their opponent to play catch-up. The Chanticleers took the challenge head on, matching their opponent in the second 14-14. The Eagles were always one step ahead the Chanticleers, but they never strayed too far. In the end, the Eagles kept the pace up and reigned supreme, taking the game 59-44.

Hannah Hilker once again was the MVP with 19 points, shooting five of 12 three-pointers for 42% and two of six two-pointers for 33%, as well as three rebounds and one steal; Classen had 11 points, six rebounds and four steals; Young had seven points, seven rebounds and four steals; Heiss had seven points, three rebounds and two steals; Kallhoff had six points, nine rebounds and two steals; Selby had five points, three rebounds and one steal; Sorensen had two points and one rebound; Chavez had two points and two steals; and Lindsay had one rebound.
