The St. Mary's girls have had a busy week going into conference play this week with wins over Creighton and Stuart and then losing their first match in conference play against North Central 41-36 and winning over Ainsworth on Monday 41-40.

Last Tuesday Jan. 27 the Cards downed Creighton 56-38. The Cards played well against the Bulldogs leading 33-23 at the half with the momentum continuing for the win.

Gracie Williamson scored 20 points for the Cards to lead them;Williamson had one steal and one rebound; Adyson Peterson had 13 points, two rebounds and one steal; Tatum Ickes and Emerson Ickes each contributed eight for the Cards;Cherish Williamson had seven points, 12 rebounds and one steal.

On Thursday the Lady Cards hosted Stuart winning easy 66-30. The Lady Broncos took most of the quarter to get on the board and managed four points at the end of the stanza. The Broncos who are 7-13 on the season managed to break double digits in the fourth clearing 10 points.

Leading the Cards was Tatum Ickes with 14 points, four rebounds and two steals; Peterson and Cherish Williamson came in second with 13 points each. Gracie Williamson had 12 points five rebounds and four steals; Mlnarik had 11 points and six rebounds;  and Olivia Bauer had three points and one steal.

On Saturday the Cards entered NVC play falling in a close match 41-36 to North Central. The Cards last played the Knights in December falling 45-32. The Cards trailed at the half 22-19, the Cards made a run in the third quarter but just couldn't find enough points for the win.

Gracie Williamson had 15 points seven rebounds and one steal; Tatum Ickes and Mlnarik each had six points and Peterson had five points only hitting one of six three pointers, short of her average play and she also had one rebound and one steal; Cherish Williamson had four points, and six rebounds.

On Monday Feb. 2 the Cards had a close one winning 41-40 with no stats available at press time.
