Things are beginning to play into the lady Cardinals favor as of late. However, nothing ever comes easy, and there are always a few rough patches in between. Last week's first competitor came when Cedar Catholic arrived and laid the smackdown on the Cardinals. The Trojans took an early 12-8 lead, but the Cardinals were still in this. They faltered in the second, allowing the visitors to overtake the scoreboard. A small advantage went to the Cards but it was right back to the Trojans at the end. When the match concluded, the opponent was thoroughly ahead, 42-29. Adyson Peterson took charge with 11 points, shooting three of 16 three-pointers for 19% and one of one two-pointers for 100%, as well as one rebound and two steals; Cherish Williamson had nine points, nine rebounds and one steal; Gracie Williamson had five points, six rebounds and three steals; Tatum Ickes had four points, three rebounds and two steals; and Emerson Mlnarik had seven rebounds and one steal. Never allowing their opponent to cross double-digits, the Cards had an easy time holding down the Tigers at every turn. By the end, the Cardinal girls secured themselves their fourth win of the month. Peterson again led the offensive with 15 points, shooting five of 19 three-pointers for 19%, as well as four rebounds and two steals; Emerson Mlnarik had 12 points, one rebound and five steals; G. Williamson had 11 points, six rebounds and six steals; Ickes had three points, three rebounds and four steals; C. Williamson had four rebounds and two steals; Bethany Leisy had three rebounds and one steal; and Olivia Bauer had one steal. SMH 12 9 12 8 41 OHS 5 5 6 2 18
