Lady Broncos Have Back To Back Wins In Last Weeks Play

The Stuart Broncos had some exciting games this week taking on D1 Ranked Hartington Cedar Catholic at Elgin last Monday. The girls took off in the first two sets winning them with great passing which led to strong attack against the Trojans. Inconsistent passing was the girls downfall in the next two sets, and the attacking went to the Trojans, but the Broncos kept fighting back. The third set went back and forth until the very end when HCC took over with a few miss ques on the Bronco's part. The final score for this match was 2-3; 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, 14-25 and 9-15.

Leading the Broncos was Lacey Paxton with 18 kills, two ace serves and 10 digs; Sydney Estill 15 kills, two ace serves, 14 digs and 12 assists; Reagan Stracke five kills, one ace serve, one block, five digs and nine assists; Sarah Wallinger three kills, three ace serves, two blocks, two digs and one set assist; Addie Ketteler three kills, two ace serves, two blocks, five digs and 20 set assists; Addison Steinhauser one kill, one block and two set assists; Chianna Tubbs three ace serves and seven digs; Trenadi Dodds four digs.

The very next night the girls headed to Springview and took on North Central and Ainsworth. Both games were a battle and the girls needed extra points to win three of the four sets against competitive teams. Coaches were proud with how the girls were able to overcome a tough game and loss the night before and come out with a couple of wins the next night.

The first game against North Central ended in 2-0; 25-18 and 27-25.

Estill led the Broncos this time with 11 kills, one ace serve, nine digs and six set assists; Paxton eight kills, one ace serve, one block and 11 digs; Stracke one kill, one block, five digs and two set assists; Wallinger two kills, one ace serve, two blocks and three digs; Ketteler two kills, eight digs and 14 assists; Tubbs one ace serve and nine digs; Dodds seven digs; Steinhauser one dig.

The final score against Ainsworth was also 2-0; 27-25 and 26-24.

Paxton led the Broncos for another time 17 kills and 11 digs; Estill 10 kills, one ace serve, 12 digs and 12 assists; Steinhauser two kills, one block, one dig and two set assists; Wallinger two kills and six digs; Ketteler eight digs and 14 set assists; Tubbs 10 digs; Dodds two digs.
