The Stuart Lady Broncos hosted their holiday tournament this past weekend. The teams in the tournament were Stuart, Burwell, Central Valley and Ansley Litchfield. On the first day, the Lady Broncos played Burwell. After a tough first half the Lady Broncos found themselves in a 20-19 hole. The Lady Broncos played a great second half and pulled away in the fourth quarter to secure the 41-38 victory. Kyra Tubbs led all scorers with 14 points. Tubbs also had five rebounds on the night. Reagan Stracke had 12 points and five rebounds. Addison Steinhauser and Annie Ludwig led the team in rebounds with seven each. Ludwig had eight points and Steinhauser had five points. Paityn Sheffield, Elly Steinhauser each had two points and Addie Kettler had one point. In the final game of the tournament, the Lady Broncos played the Lady Spartans from Ansley Litchfield. After leading by one at the half, the Lady Broncos pulled away in the third quarter and hung on in the fourth for a 37-30 win. Stracke led all scorers with 15 points. Stracke also led the team rebounds (8) and assists (6). Kyra Tubbs had 10 points on the night. Tubbs also grabbed five rebounds. Addison Steinhauser had six points and four rebounds and Annie Ludwig had five points and six rebounds. The Lady Broncos will head into January with a 7-2 record. They will host Anselma-Merna on the 7th of January.
