Kimberly Jane was born in Lincoln on July 19, 1966, to Kenneth W. and Linda K. Brion. She graduated from Spencer High School in Spencer in 1984.
On May 12, 1984, she was married to the love of her life, Bruce A. Purviance of Lynch. To this union three children were born: Kerstin Rose on August 18, 1984, Ashten Linnea on Aug. 14, 1987 and Anthony James on Nov. 12, 1988.
Kim followed in the footsteps of the father and mother she so admired by entering the family business and becoming the manager of Boyd County Insurance in Spencer from 1986 to 2007. She took it as an honor to serve clients in her parents business and her community but she went much father than that. In 1998 she expanded into South Dakota and built Southern Dakota Insurance from the ground up.
She was very active in the Professional Insurance Agents of Nebraska and served on the board for several years. She was elected and served as president from 2005-06. Her clients will remember her as a pleasant firecracker of a lady who knew how to get things done.
In 2007 Bruce and Kim moved to Montana and purchased Mountain Air Insurance Services Property and Casualty Agency in Hamilton, MT, where she worked until her death. Kim passed away in the comfort of her home and in the presence of her loving family.
Kim's family will remember most that she was born running. From the time she hit the ground no one could keep up; no one could catch her. All they could do is watch as this wonderful angel, full of abundant life and boundless energy, kept setting the bar with amazing grace. Accomplishing at work, but still loving as a wife and mother, faithful as a friend and ever so helpful to family and even a stranger in need. She was always looking for ways to make the world a better place and as a Christian she saved by example. In 46 years she accomplished and loved more than most could hope to in 100.
Kim leaves yet on this earth her husband Bruce; children, Kerstin, Ashten and Anthony; parents, Kenneth and Linda Brion; brothers, James and Peter; grandchildren, Gavin, Sophie and Chloe; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless other relatives and friends who will never forget her amazing grace.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Irene Anson and Richard and LaVern Brion.
The family suggests that memorials be made by sponsoring a child at Kims most trusted child sponsorship organization, Compassion. Kim currently sponsors many children and would be honored to see her friends and relatives take that number over 1000. This can be done at www.compassion.com by sponsoring a child and filling in a Kim Purviance Memorial in the special instructions box. A return card will be provided by which you may notify the family that you are partnering with Kim in something of pure eternal significance. James 1:27.
